The Colony of Connecticut claimed title to the lands between the forty-first parallel and the parallel of forty-two degrees two minutes north of the equator, and extending west from Pennsylvania one hundred and twenty miles, by virtue of grants from King James to the Plymouth Council in November, 1630 from the Plymouth Company to the Earl of Warwick in the same year and from the Earl to Viscount Say and Seal, and others march 19, 1631.
